Sulamita has over 15 years of experience in medical billing, finance, and project management, focusing on mental health operations for the past 10 years. She has a passion for supporting providers looking for customized solutions to their financial and administrative needs. She believes that it is possible to create efficient processes and deliver operational excellence through collaboration.

Prior to joining the Meadows Institute, Sulamita worked for a mental health organization where she acted as the subject matter expert for all integrated behavioral healthcare billing and provided guidance to the leadership team during program building and implementation. She also managed the daily operations responsible for physician contracting, claim submission, invoicing, collections, and clinic operations.

In her role at the Institute, Sulamita supports the Policy Implementation Team to advance collaborative care and measurement-based care in primary and health system settings. She also works with our partners to implement collaborative care while ensuring a successful revenue cycle workflow.

This presentation provides a practical overview of the financial components necessary to successfully implement and sustain the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM). Participants will review CoCM billing codes and their requirements, learn how to apply the 5 STEPS framework to support accurate claim submission and reimbursement, and examine how early financial modeling strengthens long-term program sustainability.
