Derek Lewis currently serves as the Founder and President of DL2 Consulting which is a boutique healthcare consulting firm. DL2 Consulting was established in 2012 and provides strategy, marketing, business development, and performance improvement solutions to clients in the healthcare and non-profit sectors. Derek also serves as the president of his family’s private foundation the Derek Lewis Foundation whose mission is to improve community health by addressing health disparities and collaborating with healthcare thought leaders to improve health equity in the state of Arkansas. The foundation was started by his father in 1993. Derek is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with a BA in Financeand obtained his MBA from the University of Phoenix.

Derek Lewis is the proud husband of Karen and the humbled father of three beautiful children Derek III, Karis, and Kyra. His hobbies are reading, traveling, and family time.

Behavioral Health Integration Experience: 

I am the Quality Care Director for Arkansas Primary Care Clinics. I oversee all CMS, Value Based, and ACO programs. One such program was Comprehensive Primary Care. One of the objectives of the program was to integrate behavioral health in the primary care setting. We tried several things to meet the objective:

  1. Referring program
  2. Collaborative with a behavioral health agency
